Privacy Policy

A weekly content ritual for makers — one session generates posts and articles grounded in your website, ICP, and voice.

We use privacy-respectful analytics to understand what is working and to improve the product. We do not sell personal data as a business model, and we avoid collecting unnecessary information.

Data controller

The data controller for personal data processed through Mineout is Awwesome Ltd, a company registered in England and Wales, United Kingdom.

You can contact us by email at support@example.com. We can be contacted by post at 20-22 Wenlock Road, London, N1 7GU, United Kingdom.

Personal data we collect

Depending on how you use Mineout, we may process:

  • Account details from sign-in (for example name, email address, and profile identifiers)
  • Product configuration you provide (for example product URL, ICP description, voice settings)
  • Content you create or approve in the app (posts, articles, and related drafts)
  • Subscription and billing status (we receive status from our payment provider, not full card numbers)
  • Newsletter email address if you subscribe on the marketing site
  • Technical and usage data such as page views when analytics are enabled

Sign-in and authentication

We use Clerk to manage accounts and sessions. Clerk processes sign-in data on our behalf as a processor. See Clerk's privacy documentation for how they handle authentication data.

Account and product data

Your configuration, generated batches, and approval state are stored in our database (hosted with Neon). The application runs on Vercel, which may process request logs and technical metadata needed to operate the service.

AI content generation

When you run a generate session, we send relevant inputs to Anthropic (for example your site URL and fetched page title or description, ICP text, voice settings, and prompts needed to produce drafts). Do not submit information you are not willing to share with our AI provider for that purpose. Anthropic processes this data under their terms and privacy policy as a sub-processor.

Analytics

We may use Vercel Web Analytics (when deployed on Vercel) to measure traffic and high-level usage. This is intended to be privacy-respectful and does not use third-party advertising cookies in our default setup.

Newsletter email

If you subscribe to our newsletter, we use your email address to send occasional messages via Resend. Every newsletter includes an unsubscribe link. You can withdraw consent at any time by unsubscribing.

Payments and subscriptions

When you subscribe to a paid plan, payment details are collected and processed by Polar (polar.sh), acting as a processor on our behalf. We do not store full card numbers on our servers. See their privacy policy.

Your bank statement may show Polar, Mineout, or another descriptor chosen by the payment provider.

Deleting your account

You can delete your account from the Account page when signed in. That flow cancels an active subscription with our payment provider, removes your product data from our database, and deletes your sign-in with our authentication provider. If you joined the marketing newsletter with the same email, that signup row is removed too. Some billing records may be retained by the payment provider where required for accounting or disputes.

Lawful bases (UK GDPR)

We rely on different lawful bases depending on the activity:

  • Contract — to provide the service, manage your account, process subscriptions, and run generation you request
  • Legitimate interests — to operate, secure, and improve Mineout, including privacy-respectful analytics
  • Consent — for optional marketing emails (newsletter), which you can withdraw via unsubscribe
  • Legal obligation — where we must retain certain records (for example tax or accounting) after a purchase

How long we keep data

We keep account and product data while your account is active. If you delete your account, we remove app data and your authentication identity as described above. Newsletter addresses are removed when you unsubscribe or when your account email is deleted. Payment providers may retain billing records for longer where required by law.

International transfers

Some providers we use may process data in the United States or other countries outside the UK. Where required, they rely on appropriate safeguards (such as standard contractual clauses or equivalent mechanisms). You can read each provider's privacy policy via the links in this notice.

Your rights

If UK data protection law applies, you may have rights to access, rectify, erase, restrict, or object to certain processing, and to data portability where applicable. You may also withdraw consent for marketing at any time. To exercise rights, contact us at support@example.com. We will respond within the timeframes required by law.

Complaints

You have the right to lodge a complaint with the UK Information Commissioner's Office (ICO) at ico.org.uk. We encourage you to contact us first so we can try to resolve your concern.

Children

Mineout is not directed at children under 18, and we do not knowingly collect personal data from them.

Changes to this policy

We may update this notice from time to time. We will post the current version on this page and adjust the "Last updated" date when we do.
